We are moving in to a new house soon! KT (my husband) and I have bought a brand new house. We spent a lot of time scouring through Pinterest and have been discussing over the house renovation almost everyday. We wanted to design our new bathrooms with Terrazzo flooring after staying in Katamama, a hotel in Bali, Indonesia. We love how they design their bathrooms.
Here’s a picture of the bathroom in Katamama, Bali hotel.
We Googled and Pinterest to find out more about Terrazzo. Look what I have found! Terrazzo is making a return. Some of the earliest terrazzo-like floors created decades ago still exist in the middle east today. Terrazzo is unique with it’s design pattern, it is beautiful, timeless, and most importantly, maintenance is a breeze. With modern technology and the advent of epoxy terrazzo, modern terrazzo floors are even more sustainable and durable than cement terrazzo floors. Epoxy terrazzo also provides the option to incorporate post-consumer and pre-consumer recycled content such as glass and stone into the materials of these timeless terrazzo floors.
A lot of photos in Pinterest tempt us to go ahead with Terrazzo. Here’s are some:-

Terrazzo flooring is becoming increasingly popular in modern homes, as varieties created with recycled content are appealing for eco-conscious consumers. Not to mention, the flooring’s durability is appealing for design lovers wanting to select materials that last.
